Got to the beach & John had a 5.7m & Stu had 4.7m rigged already, It only seemed about 15knts but gusty with wind cross on from the right.
i opted for 5.7m & 95lt, quickly rigged & suited as they launched, stu look good on his 4.7m? so hooked up 86lt board
& went to get on, only problem was as soon as i thought about my harness i re-aliased it was still in the GARAGE!!! ARGHHH.... After lots of flapping We popped up Stu's who's local as he had a spare seat harness.Result.
Was ok on 5.7m, going for a backloop on the 1st run out, this was gonna be a good sail. After lots of jumping, backloop(attemps) etc the wind was now too much, so rigged 5.0m which for me was perfect most of the time, only a hand full in the gusts. It was odd to be sailing this tack at wsm but very good all the same, even being able to do frontside turns on the waves. once the tide turned the wind increased again making backloop attemps hairy & fast... an excellent sail was had by all except for a wsm regular who lost his rig...So if any one found it it belongs to the Copper(dunno his name)from Bristol with the high top VW T4
